The last competition at the European Championship was 50m Rifle 3 positions. The 3 positions are also called King or Queen Event of the Rifle shooting. The hardest may be the 300m meter competitions. But yesterday women junior competed in 50m Rifle. As I wrote in the earlier article, the weather wasn´t the best, but it is one of the most interesting issues in a shooting sport that you have to concentrate, get along with the wind and shoot well and sharp. And, of course, when shooting 3 positions, you have to handle all the three: kneeling, prone and standing.Read more
17 June 2016Final Day: it’s raining cats and dogs!
Mänikku woke up in the rain and wind, but it didn’t seem to influence the minds of athletes and coached when they walked to the shooting centre. They sighed cheerfully good mooning and continued to their firing points.Read more
16 June 2016The fourth Competition Day showed all kind of tears!
It was turn of the 25m Pistol Women Junior day. Yesterday Women Juniors competed the Precision Stage and today they had the Rapid Stage and Finals. The morning looked grey. The heavy rain of yesterday had stopped. The day was full of tears – some because of happiness, some because of disappointment. After the Rapid stage Bulgarian Miroslava Mincheva had shot the best qualification result 584 – strong result by 16 years old Miroslava! French Mathlide Lamolle was the second (579), Russian Margarita Lomova scored 577 on the third position. Athletes qualified to finals were Anna Dedova (CZE), Michelle Skeries (GER), Agate Rasmane (LAT), Elif Kirklar (TUR) and Sophie Polo (FRA).Read more

14 June 2016Switzerland dominated in 25m Standard Pistol Junior Men
The European Championship Junior continued with 25m Standard Pistol Junior Men and 50m Rifle Prone Women Junior. The weather was as nice as yesterday: sun was shining on the bright blue sky and only mild wind was blowing. It was even hot on the ranges.Read more
13 June 2016THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP JUNIOR PISTOL AND RIFLE WAS OPENED IN TALLINN
The Opening Ceremony was organised on the 13th of June at Marjumäki Hill in the very city centre of Estonian capital Tallinn. It is the fourth time in the history of European shooting when Tallinn is hosting the continental Championship. Exactly – twenty years ago, in 1996, it was a Shotgun Championship. In 1998 and 2005 Estonia welcomed the best air weapon shooters. Now it is turn of our Pistol and Rifle hopes. They will compete at the brand new Männiku shooting range.Read more
13 June 2016The first day was the Russian Day
After yesterday´s Opening Ceremony it was time to start competing. The European Championship Junior Pistol and Rifle started today in an excellent Weather. The sun was nice, and wind did not blow nearly at all. The first event was 25m Pistol Men Junior.Read more
