10m ECH 2015 ARNHEM - Aiming for Perfection!

With just four weeks to go until the 10m European Championships Air Rifle and Air Pistol in Arnhem, the Netherlands, all preparations are on track. With over 560 athletes from 42 countries a high level of competitors and an even better performance is expected there!

Europe’s best athletes will compete in an environment known to many coaches. For, the same venue was the location for the 10m European Championships in 1990 and 1999 and has developed ever since. All athletes in the Air Rifle and Air Pistol events will compete in the Arnhem-hall. This range is equipped with 83 targets of the latest SIUS LS10 Laserscore. After a tense competition only the very best, 8 per event, will proceed to the Final-range. This range is built like an arena: athletes will walk towards the firing point while the audience is cheering. The wall above and around the athletes will create unique opportunities for visual effects. Each target is equipped with a remote camera that focuses on the single athletes, viewable by the whole audience. The large screens on the side enable a continuous display of the scoring and ranking. The grandstand fits 800 sports enthusiasts.

Another unique feature about this ECH is the side-event: an ISSF recognized Target Sprint competition with athletes from all over Europe. They will run and shoot with air rifles on the athletics track of the National Sports Center, located at just 100 meters from the shooting ranges.

All Olympic Finals are broadcasted on the website of the ISSF, ESC and ECH2015.nl and will be available through EBU.

We welcome all of you, sports enthusiasts, to visit this event and cheer for your favorites! Entry is free of charge. More information on www.ech2015.nl.
