A significant part of the 23rd European Shooting Confederation General Assembly in Belgrade was devoted to the forthcoming competitions.

A significant part of the 23rd European Shooting Confederation General Assembly in Belgrade was devoted to the forthcoming competitions.

First, organizers of the European Championships 2012-2013 reported to delegates. Comprehensive statements were made by Finland (European Championships 10m, 2012), Cyprus (European Championships in shotgun, 2012) and Denmark (European Championships 10 m, 2013). Then the XXX Olympic Games in London Organizing Committee representative Peter Underhill reported on the process of preparation for the shooting competitions during the Olympiad.

After that the delegates had to vote for the country to host the European Championships 10 m in 2014 and 2015. Azerbaijan, Russia and Slovenia bid to host the European Championships 10 m in 2014. Azerbaijan, Belorussia, Denmark, Cyprus and Slovenia bid to host the European Championships in Shotgun in 2014 and Azerbaijan and Netherlands - the European Championships 10m in 2015.

After the presentations of the candidates there were elections as a result of which Russia, Denmark and Netherlands got the majority of votes and won the right to host the European Championships.

Russia will host the European Championships 10m in 2014, Denmark - European Championships in Shotgun in 2014, Netherlands - European Championships 10m in 2015. The country to host the European Shooting Championships 2015 will be elected additionally.
