A Cup for Christmas
373 athletes from 22 nations took part last week-end in the 13th edition of the Christmas Cup and the Grand Prix of Osijek.
The competitions began with mixed events. The organizers allowed the creation of pairs not only mixed by gender but also by athletes from different countries and clubs. As a result, not only the sports interest was high. Some teams were also incredibly creative in choosing their names. Notable examples include such names like «Great Canary» and «Mountain Yards», inspired by the athletes' origins, as well as «Lefties», referring to left-handed athletes.
Other highlights of the competitions were the individual events for the best results in 10 shots. The winners of the special prizes established by Walther were Damir Mikec in Air Pistol and István Péni in Air Rifle.
