Vladimir Lisin elected Vice-President of the Russian Olympic Committee

Mr. Vladimir Lisin, President of the European Shooting Confederation, was elected Vice-President of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) for the next four year term (2014-2018). The election took place today, on 29th May, in Moscow at the Olympic Congress of the ROC.

In his capacity as President of the Summer Olympic Sports Association of Russia, Vladimir Lisin already was holding the position of ex-oficio Vice-President of the ROC since 2011. This time – following the example of the IOC – all members of the ROC Executive Committee had to be elected by delegates of the Olympic Congress. Vladimir Lisin got the support of more than 90 percent of the delegates.

The ESC President is also a member of the IOC Commission for Culture and Olympic Education. Two of his recent editorial projects – “Illustrated History of the Summer Olympic Games” and “Illustrated History of the Olympic Winter Games” published in English and Russian – got the highest appreciation and merit of the entire Olympic Family.
