Golden Hits closed the Championships
Last day here in Lonato was dedicated to the ESC Trio Challenge events.
Everything started with young Ladies and promised to be quite fast. Ielyzaveta Pyvovarova, Valeriia Bartysheva and Oleksandra Bartysheva from Ukraine crushed Germans Luise Middel, Emilie Bundan, and Annabella Hettmer with 6-0 and won Bronzes with the Golden Hit. The same score has been set in the Gold medal match with Sophie Herrmann, Phoebe Grace Bodley-Scott, and Madeleine Zarina Russell from England who smashed Czechs Eliška Rusková, Natálie Bravencová, and Tereza Mlíková.
Both Bronze and Gold medal matches in Men Junior category finished with 6-2. Team Germany (Luis Lange, Maximilian Alexander Seibel, and Valentin Philipp Johannes Woestmeyer) won Team Türkiye (Muhammet Seyhun Kaya, Ahmet Baran, Erdem Özkural) with the Golden Hit again, and Team Cyprus (Kyriakos Michail, Markos Kontopoulos, Andreas Pontikis) beat Team Ukraine (Tymofii Havrylenko, Yehor Skliarets, Ivan Ragulia).
The real fight began in the second part of the day when it was time for Senior events. Despite the fact that in the Bronze medal match Team Cyprus represented by Panagiota Andreou, Anastasia Eleftheriou, and Andri Eleftheriou broke the resistance of the English in the person of Alexandra Anne Skeggs, Bethany Lilian Norton, and Emily Jane Hibbs with a score of 6-2 and the Golden Hit, this victory was not easy for them. It was even more difficult for the Germans Isabel Wassing, Valentina Umhöfer, and Eva-Tamara Reichert, who defeated the Czechs Martina Kučerová, Barbora Šumová, and Anna Šindelářová with a score of 6-4 and became the best – and again not without the participation of a Golden Hit!
The last event of that way was Skeet Trio Men. Fate of Bronzes has been decided by the Golden Hit again. Kleanthis Varnavides, Petros Englezoudis, Georgios Achilleos from Cyprus took over Georgians Yaroslav Startsev, David Kvatadze, and Roman Gogoladze with 6-0 and almost perfect shooting in each round. And finally, the very last and most difficult round began. With great difficulty Poles Kacper Jerzy Baksalary, Wiktor Kwieciński, and Jakub Werys managed to win Czechs Tomáš Nýdrle, Daniel Korčák, and Jakub Tomeček with a score of 7-3 and, of course, with a Golden Hit again.
It is also worth noting that on this day the Cyprus team won one of each set of medals!
After the end of all Medal Ceremonies the ESC President, Mr. Alexander Ratner, together with Mr. Ivan Carella, Trap Concaverde President, declared the Championships closed. They also presented certificates of participation to the Jury Members.
Grazie mille a tutti!
