Little things matter

As usually, we start with weather which was really very hot today. On the one hand, it’s good that there wasn’t any cloudlet in the sky, but on the other hand, flying insects often disturbed the athletes.

Jessica Rossi, Maria Lucia Palmitessa, and Silvana Stanco from Italy together with Safiye Sarıtürk Temizdemir, Rümeysa Pelin Kaya, and Dilara Bedia Kızılsu from Türkiye started today’s Finals in Trap Team events.

Turkish ladies took the first round with a difference of one target. The second round was for Italy, but now the difference was four clays.

In the third round there was a tie so the score was 3-3. Italians won the next two rounds making the final score 7-3 taking Bronze medals. And again in each of these two rounds the difference was just one target!

In the Gold medal match Satu Mäkelä-Nummela, Noora Antikainen, and Mopsi Veromaa from Finland met Nikola Molnárová, Jana Špotáková, and Zuzana Rehák-Štefečeková from Slovakia.

Each team consistently won almost each round. The first round was for Slovakia. The second – for Finland. After that the sequence changed, and the third round was for Finland, the fourth – for Slovakia.

Finally Finnish Team won Golden medals with a difference of – again! – one clay.

Congratulations!
