New Champions grow with ESC!
The first day of the European Junior Championship is done! It was all about familiar Сhampions returning for new titles and rising talents proving they can already compete at the highest level.
Yesterday, medals were awarded in three events. In the Air Rifle Mixed Team Juniors, we saw a real thriller as Anastasiia Gorokhova and Sergei Novoselov from team AIN fought a close battle against Croatia’s Senka Martinovic and Toma Tadic. The atmosphere was electric almost until the very end, but Anastasiia and Sergei stayed strong to win the gold, while the Croatian pair took a well-deserved silver. The bronze in this event went to Kristina Ostapenko and Oleksii Viatchin from Ukraine.

In the Air Pistol Men Junior, the 2025 Youth Festival gold medalist, Climentii Ursu from Moldova, proved his strength once again by taking the victory. He showed his class to finish ahead of Islam Shamsutdinov from team AIN, who earned the silver, and Francesco Rutigliani from Italy, who took the bronze.
We also saw a new chapter beginning in the Air Pistol Women Junior. Kristiana Agule from Latvia, last year’s U16/U18 Сhampion, stepped up into the Junior category with a great showing to take the silver medal. However, it was Ines Ortega Castro from Spain who delivered a brilliant performance to become the new Champion, while Klara Tichackova from Czechia joined them on the podium with the bronze.
Below are all the medalists in Team events:
Air Pistol Men Team Juniors:
Gold – Poland

Bronze – Hungary
Air Pistol Women Team Juniors:
