One point from glory and a legend on top!
The last day of the European Championship in Yerevan really tickled the fans' nerves. We saw a real theater of drama in the solo events, where every shot changed the story.
The Air Rifle Solo Women event had two amazing battles. In both matches for gold and bronze, no one wanted to give up. Every time a gap appeared in the score, the opponent quickly closed it. Both finals ended with the same result: a very close 15:14.

Despite being neck and neck in skill and determination, only one could emerge victorious. In the end, Hanna Buehlmeyer (GER) claimed the bronze, while Switzerland’s Vivien Joy Jaeggi was very close to winning, but took the silver. The title of Champion went to Damla Köse (TUR), who added this gold to her 2025 Champions League victory.

The men’s final was just as dramatic. German athlete Maximilian Ulbrich shared his honest feelings about the moment the score hit 14:14:
"Imagine: the score is 14:14, and you see your opponent hit the winning 15th point. My heart was like: 'Let’s make this even harder and almost jump out of my chest!"

Maximilian admitted that slow shooting made it harder to control his body. He shot a 10.0, which wasn't enough, and finished with silver – 14:15. The gold went to Josip Sikavica (CRO), and Aleksa Rakonjac (SRB) took the bronze.
The shooting sport "musical" ended with a beautiful final note. The legendary Yusuf Dikec and his Turkish teammates Ismail Keles and Bugra Selimzade won gold in a tough fight against Ukraine. There was also a huge celebration for the local crowd: with the energy of the home fans, the Armenian trio won the bronze medal!
