A new era in shooting sports with the U23 format

A major initiative by the European Shooting Confederation and national federations has become a reality. The inaugural European Championship U23 is officially underway in Wrocław.

Designed to bridge the gap between junior and senior categories, the new format gives rising stars a dedicated stage to compete for continental titles and the opportunity to add more medals to their budding careers. The landmark event welcomes 307 young talents from 30 nations.

Welcoming the athletes and guests, President of the European Shooting Confederation Mr Alexander Ratner noted the significance of returning to Wrocław three years after the European Games, an event remembered with great warmth by the shooting community. He expressed appreciation to Polish Sport Shooting Federation President Mr Tomasz Kwiecień for taking on the commitment to host the inaugural Championship.

Over the next two weeks, young athletes will contend for top honors across 38 medal events. Action will be centered around the dynamic ESC Challenge formats – Solo and Duet. Created to keep pace with today's fast-changing sports world, these modern formats offer clear and exciting action for every spectator, while maintaining the highest level of precision under pressure.
