Former President Lisin awarded ESC Order of Merit

Former ESC and ISSF President Vladimir Lisin has been awarded the ESC Order of Merit. The members of the Presidium took this decision during a recent meeting.

As the Confederation’s highest award, it recognises Mr Lisin’s long-standing leadership, dedication, and great contribution to shooting sports both globally and across Europe. While he led the European Shooting Confederation, the organisation achieved major success in governance, event staging, and athlete support.

The presentation of this prestigious honour holds additional special significance as it coincides with Mr Lisin’s 70th birthday this year, marking decades of distinguished service to the international sports movement.

Thank you, Mr. Lisin, to you and your team for all the good you have done for shooting sports, for the better position of our sport in the family of Olympic sports, for supporting the national federations through the development program, for representing our sport in the media at a higher level than ever, for the support to the organizers and for appreciating the work of the jury members at the ISSF and ESC competitions, in a word, we had a president with a vision.
