Budapest joined Youth League

Budapest hosted the West Regional Round of the European Youth League last weekend. Six nations of the western region gathered to battle it out: Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Italy, Slovenia and Spain.

In total, 38 athletes – 19 young men and 19 young women. Equal representation, equal competition. These numbers speak louder than any words about gender equality in European shooting sports.

The management of the Youth League, who attended the event, noted the high level of preparation shown by the competing athletes. 

When the competition was over, these are the teams heading to the Final:

Air Rifle
1. Italy
2. Hungary
3. Slovenia

Air Pistol
1. Italy
2. Hungary
3. Czechia 

Two rounds down, one to go. From 30 April to 3 May, the North Regional Round will take place in Kisakallio, Finland – and the list of finalists will be complete.

This autumn, Jūrmala, Latvia will host all finalists of the European Youth League Championship 10m. On 25 October, we will crown the new young winners.
