Celebrations in Aarau

With impressive ceremony in Aarau Switzerland celebrated 200th Anniversary of the Swiss Shooting Sport Federation (SVV).

Among the nearly 600 guests and participants of the historical jubilee there were the State authorities, top ranked army and police officers, regional politicians, representatives of the shooting sport community, sponsors.

Special tribute was paid to the Swiss Olympic medalists from 1968 to 2024, including the gold medal winners Nina Christen (Tokyo 2020) and Chiara Leone (Paris 2024). The international shooting sport was represented by the ESC President Alexander Ratner and the DSB President Hans-Heinrich von Schönfels.

The festive ceremony was followed by the picturesque parade along the streets of Aarau of more than 2000 people-members of 50 different folk groups from all cantons of the country.
