Championships marathon begins in Osijek

The 2026 shooting season reaches a new level today as Osijek, Croatia, opens its doors to the first of a long series of European Championships — an extended marathon that will bring elite athletes back to this city again and again.

And they keep coming back for a reason: the atmosphere, the facilities, and the tradition of great competition make Osijek a place where champions are made.

This Сhampionship marathon kicks off with the sport’s most powerful discipline – the 300m Rifle events. Featuring the largest caliber in target shooting and the longest distances, these competitions represent the pinnacle of long-range precision.

The event has brought together athletes from 16 nations to compete in 8 intense events. In addition to individual titles, they will join forces in Duets and Trios for the ESC Challenge Events.

This competition is also a key step for athletes this season: the points earned here count toward qualification for the Lapua European Cup Final.
