Continental battle: 491 athletes gather in Osijek

The shooting world is turning its eyes to Osijek once again. The city continues to cement its place as one of the continent's premier destinations for competitive shooting.

Having already hosted the 300m Championship, the city now welcomes the next major chapter: the 25m/50m European Championship, one of the most anticipated events on the shooting calendar.

This event represents a massive logistical and competitive undertaking. With 34 federations represented, Osijek has become the meeting point for the continent's finest athletes. The scale is reflected in the numbers: 491 athletes will take to the firing lines across 1,220 starts over 11 days of intense competition.

Beyond the medals, athletes are fighting for 40 quotas for the 2027 European Games in Istanbul. Every single shot counts toward reaching the most prestigious event of the coming year.

In addition to classic Olympic disciplines, the schedule features the ESC Challenge formats, including Duet and Trio events. These modern categories test not only individual precision but also team synergy and mental endurance under pressure.

The magnitude of such an event is made possible through the collaboration of the ESC and its dedicated partners. Industry leaders Capapie, ELEY, Smart Grip Double Alpha Academy, and Walther and Morini continue to provide the essential support and equipment that allow these athletes to perform at the highest level.
