Estonian Youngsters surprised in 10m Air Pistol Trio U16 – Ukraine still strongest

Estonia Team of the 10m Air Pistol Trio Women U16 surprised the audience on the last competition day by winning their semifinal and reached the place to the Gold Match.

Estonians won Tea Hungary, which is a strong Pistol country with the clear result 12-4!

In the other Semifinal Ukraine beat Bulgaria with result 12-6 and continued to Gold Match too. The unlucky Semifinal team (Hungary and Bulgaria) earned both Bronze medals.

The Gold Match of the 10m Air Pistol Trio U 16 wasn’t easy to Estonian team. Estonian team started strongly. It was even leading 6-4 when Ukraine took time out. It helped and then Ukraine started to run. And suddenly the situation was tie 8-8. It was Estonia’s time to take Timeout, unfortunately it did not helped and Team Ukraine took the next points and won 12-8.

Ukraine strongest in the Air Pistol Trio U18

We must absolutely say that Ukraine has splendid Pistol shooters. Earlier today the Ukrainian team won the younger’s event and so made the older ones too. Ukraine won Poland in semifinal 12-4 and in the other semifinal Latvia crashed Hungary 12-2.

So, when looking at the Semifinal results, there was coming an interesting Gold Match. Latvia started well, but unfortunately slowly their power started to disappear, and Ukraine left them behind and continued then clearly and won Gold. The Ukraine team consisted of Yuliia Isachenko, Polina Zaichenko, and Olha Lepska.
