European Youth League Final in Sweden

Young athletes from all over Europe have gathered in Rottne/Växjö in the southern part of Sweden to compete for the medals and trophies in the Final of the European Youth League. Since the beginning of the year young air rifle and air pistol athletes, 14-18 years of age, have competed on a regional level to qualify for the European Final.

The 16 qualified mixed teams consist of 15 boys and 15 girls in the rifle competition and 17 boys and 10 girls in the pistol. The rules require that there must be a mixture of boys and girls in each match.


The following nations are represented at the EYL Final.


Rifle: Austria, Croatia, Finland, France, Hungary, Norway, Serbia and Sweden.


Pistol: Czech Republic, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland and Ukraine.


The first matches started at 17.00 Friday evening and the event will continue on Saturday. The best teams after the qualification will compete in the medal matches on Sunday.
