First Finals kicked off in Osijek

Three sets of medals were distributed yesterday here at the European Championships 10m Juniors.

Everything started with the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team Bronze medal match. The Norwegians (Pernille Nor-Woll and Jens Olsrud Østli) started quite confidently and reached the end of the match quite quickly. But towards the end the Serbs (Iva Rakonjac and Aleksa Rakonjac) suddenly woke up and began to reduce the gap. However, the Norwegian machine could not be stopped, and the match ended with a score of 17-9 in favor of the young descendants of the Vikings. As for the Gold medal match, everything was quite simple and clear: the French (Manon Herbulot and Romain Aufrère) defeated the Germans (Theresa Luise Schnell and Florian Reinhard Beer) with a score of 16-8.

Turkish Ilayda Nur Çürük became the best in the 10m Air Pistol Women Junior event followed by AIN athlete Aliaksandra Piatrova and Georgian Mariam Abramishvili.

In the Team competition, first place was taken by Georgia (Mariam Abramishvili, Mariami Marshava, and Mariami Prodiashvili) followed by Türkiye (Ilayda Nur Çürük, Gülsunar Tarhan, and Tuğba Bugur) and Latvia (Alise Dvarišķe, Kristiāna Agule, and Līva Krūmiņa).

Among Men Junior the best was AIN athlete Mikalai Yakuta beating the Ukrainian Maksym Himon by a margin of 2.1 points. Luca Joldea from Romania rounded out the top three.

Team Italy represented by Francesco Rutigliani, Liang Xi Savorani, and Gabriele Aldo Villani celebrated the first place. Teams Ukraine (Maksym Himon, Maksym Kaminskyy, and Ivan Martynov) and Romania (Levente Matyas Bucsias, Luca Joldea, and Constantin-Daniel Feraru) occupied second and third places respectively.
