Hungary, Russia, Ukraine and Germany have entered the biggest number of athletes. What country will be the leader in public interest to the Championship?

Hungary, Russia, Ukraine and Germany will be represented with the biggest number of athletes at the 2018 European Championship 10m. Italy, Slovakia, Croatia, Czech Republic and Norway will also send impressive delegations to Györ. Austria, Poland, Sweden, France, Belarus, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Armenia will be represented by 30 or more shooters each.

Andorra, Malta, Liechtenstein, San-Marino, Albania, Iceland and Ireland conclude the list of participating countries by the number of athletes. But each of them has a chance to be on top of the list that will demonstrate the public interest to the Championship.

How the level of the public interest can be determined? The European Shooting Confederation starts another experiment. Besides the live TV broadcasting of the Finals in six Olympic events: Air Rifle Men, Air Rifle Women and Air Pistol Mixed Team on February 23rd as well as Air Pistol Men, Air Pistol Women and Air Rifle Mixed Team on February 24th, there will be live Internet streaming that will cover the Finals in all individual, Mixed Team and Team events in Air Rifle/Air Pistol as well as the Running Target competitions in Junior and Senior categories on February 20th-25th. It will also cover the continental qualification for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games on February 18th.

It means, all necessary technical arrangements have been done by the Organizing Committee, the Hungarian Shooting Federation and the European Shooting Confederation that allow the shooting community to follow the 2018 European Championship 10m on TV, in case the local TV applies for respective rights, or through Internet.

The live stream player will be placed on the websites of the Hungarian Shooting Federation and the European Shooting Confederation. In order to get access to the signal any viewer will have to show his/her real interest in the competitions by paying 3 Euro for one day of streaming or 15 Euro for streaming during the whole Championship, from February 18th till February 25th.

Once the main decision is taken the viewer will have to choose one of the two price options given by the player, then register using email, select the payment method (credit card or PayPal) and make the payment. As soon as the payment is done the access will be granted. If the viewer leaves the page, he/she should login as existing user for the next visits to get the access to the live stream that had been paid for.

The video records of all the Finals will be loaded on the ESC website for open viewing the next day after the live streaming.

The complete schedule of the live Internet streaming of the 2018 ECH 10m in Györ can be found here.
