In memoriam Philippe Crochard

With great sadness that we learned the passing away of the Honorary President of the French Shooting Federation (FFTir) Philippe Crochard in his eighty-third year.

Everyone remembers his passion to the shooting sport and its dedication to the FFtir which he presided for ten years, from 2011 to 2021.

His name will undoubtedly be associated with the creation of the National Shooting Sports Center (CNTS) in Châteauroux-Déols. Inaugurated in 2018 the CNTS hosted the 2024 Olympic competitions and is the place for the 2025 European Championship 25/50/300m/RT/Shotgun.

Philippe Crochard was holder of the Gold medal for youth, sports and associative commitment, Knight in the National Order of Merit and Knight in the National Order of the “Légion d’Honneur”.
