News from the ESC Presidium Meeting

The ESC Presidium held the Meeting in Osijek at March 8, 2025.

The ESC President Alexander Ratner invited the ISSF Secretary General Alessandro Nicotra di San Giacomo to attend the Presidium meeting in order to get acquainted with the new ESC initiatives and the path of their realization. Mr. Nicotra di San Giacomo came together with the ISSF President Luciano Rossi who also decided to attend the meeting in Osijek. With a lot of attention, the ISSF leaders followed the presentation on the ESC initiatives aimed to increase the popularity of the shooting sport and to attract to the competitions a bigger number of young athletes.

After the discussion that lasted nearly an hour and a half, it was agreed that the ESC will submit proposals to the ISSF to amend its General Regulations.

Also, Presidium took the following decisions:
1. To appoint Melis Giraud as the ESC Secretary General.
2. To hold the XXX Ordinary ESC General Assembly in Yerevan, Armenia, on October 24-25, 2025.
3. To hold the 2026 European Championships in 300m, 25/50m, and Shotgun U18 in Osijek, Croatia from April 30 to May 21, 2026.
4. To change the dates for the 2026 European Championship in Shotgun (M/W, MJ/WJ) to September 27 – October 13, 2026.
5. To allow up to six athletes per nation in individual Running Target M/W events at the 2025 European Championship in Châteauroux.
6. To approve the 2024 balance with income in the amount of 1 144 939, 38 euro and expenditures in the amount of 1 012 128, 17 euro.
7. To approve the 2025 preliminary budget with income from Sponsorship covering 90% of expenditures.

The Presidium reviewed proposals and requests from the National Federations of Germany, Great Britain, Estonia, North Macedonia, Portugal, Switzerland, and Latvia concerning various European competitions.

The Presidium assessed Membership Statues of the National Federation of Liechtenstein, Monaco, Andorra, and San Marino (Rifle and Pistol) due to their lack of athletes’ participation in any European Championship since 2023.
