Promises made, promises kept

The ESC Support Programme was launched with one clear commitment: to make European competition more accessible for every federation. Not just in words – in practice.

The results are concrete. The two Championships in Bulgaria brought together 643 athletes from 39 countries. In Yerevan, 309 participants from 40 nations competed. Our events bring sporting Europe together – including federations returning to the international stage after a long absence. The level of shooting in Europe is rising – and it shows.

In the first quarter of 2026 alone, €78,000 was paid under the Support Programme – with 25 nations receiving compensation for expenses of federations for days of ESC Challenge events at the Championships in Burgas and Yerevan. This support gives national federations and athletes more chances to compete and win medals.

The Confederation is not done. Developing the sport is not a one-time gesture. It is a long-term mission to guarantee safe shooting sport development in Europe.
