Shooting at the 2027 European Games!

Shooting has been officially confirmed as a sport in the program of the 2027 European Games in Istanbul!

It was announced during the 54th General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in Frankfurt am Main before the EOC President Spyros Kapralos and the Mayor of Istanbul Ekrem İmamoğlu signed the Host City Agreement.

„It is a very important day for the European Shooting Confederation that supported the initiation of the European Games even before they were formally established back in 2013 and worked together with the EOC to continue the tradition of being our sport part of the European Games program in 2015, 2019, and 2023“, - said the ESC President Alexander Ratner who represented the organisation at the EOC General Assembly.

During the meeting in Frankfurt the ESC President had a chance to inform the IOC President Thomas Bach, several candidates to the position of the IOC President, the IOC Sports Director Kit McConnell and many NOC Presidents about the latest ESC initiatives in the development and promotion of the shooting sport in Europe.
