Swiss precision and the record-breaking run
The momentum in Osijek shows no signs of slowing down. From the first shots of the morning, the athletes continued exactly where they left off – breaking records and delivering high-stakes performances.
Germany continues its incredible run at this Championship. Lisa Grub delivered the performance of the day in 50m Rifle Prone Women, securing the gold medal and setting a new World Record – the third for Germany this week.
Individual Podium:
Gold: Lisa Grub (GER) – New World Record
Silver: Jeanette Hegg Duestad (NOR)
Bronze: Anna Nagybanyai-Nagy (HUN)
In the team event, Switzerland took the gold with a clinical performance, followed by Austria in silver and Germany in bronze.
The 50m Rifle Prone Men event was an intense affair. Austria’s Thomas Mathis claimed the individual gold, followed by Istvan Marton Peni (HUN) in second and Ole Martin Halvorsen (NOR) taking the bronze.
The team competition came down to the wire. Czechia secured the top spot, narrowly beating Austria. The battle for the podium was incredibly tight, with only 0.5 points separating silver-medalists Austria from Norway in bronze.
In the 25m Pistol Trio Women, the bronze medal match saw the Ukrainian trio – Yuliya Korostylova, Olena Kostevych, and Anastasiia Nimets – overcome Poland in a solid display of teamwork.
The gold medal match was a masterclass by Hungary. The trio of Veronika Major, Miriam Jako, and Sara Rahel Fabian proved to be significantly more precise, taking the gold over a strong Bulgarian team – Lidia Nencheva, Miroslava Mincheva, and Antoaneta Kostadinova – who finished with silver.

50m Rifle 3 Positions Trio Women provided the grand finale of the day. The bronze medal went to Mari Baardseng Loevseth, Jeanette Hegg Duestad, and Milda Marina Haugen from Norway, who dominated their match against Poland with a massive point lead.
The gold medal match was a point-for-point thriller between Switzerland and Germany. Both teams traded shot-for-shot, refusing to let the other pull away. Ultimately, the Swiss trio – Emely Jaeggi, Vivien Joy Jaeggi, and Chiara Leone – showed nerves of steel to win the gold. Lisa Grub, Anna Janssen, and Nele Stark secured a well-earned silver for Germany.

With a world record falling every single day, Osijek is setting a new standard for international shooting sports. We can’t wait to see what’s next!
