The second qualification round of Lapua European Cup
From May 31st to June 1st, the 2nd qualification round of the Lapua European Cup took place in Laško.
On Friday, athletes arrived in Laško in the morning and completed the PET for the center fire pistol event, followed by a technical meeting in the afternoon.
On Saturday morning, the center fire pistol competition took place. In the individual category, Dubovy Jindrich (CZE) took the gold medal, Moczko Theo (FRA) won silver, and Rampula Matej (CZE) secured bronze. In the team competition, the bronze medal went to Austria - Military team, the silver to France I, and the winning team was Czechia.
After the PET for the standard pistol event, a banquet was held at Thermana Laško, where medals and plaques were awarded to the best athletes. The official opening ceremony also took place, with a speech by the president of the Shooting Union of Slovenia, Mr. Igor Macur.
On Sunday morning, the standard pistol competition followed. Once again, Czechia triumphed in both the individual and team categories. The winner was Rampula Matej (CZE), with Dr. Auprich Andreas taking silver, and Picat Re Tristan earning bronze. In the team results, the bronze medal went to France II, silver to France I, and the gold medal to Czechia.
The competition ran smoothly, and we were fortunate to enjoy sunny and warm weather throughout the weekend in Laško.
We thank all participants for attending and hope they had a pleasant experience and left Laško with fond memories.
