The Technical Committee looks into the future

The ESC Technical Committee meeting took place in Bordeaux, France, organized by the French Shooting Federation (FFTir).

Ghislaine Briez, Chairmwoman of the TC, prepared an extensive program that included several aspects addressed to the future. Among those are the establishment of the European Youth League competitions in Shotgun, main approaches to Qualification system for the 2023 European Games, development of the ESC Air Cup, proposals how to make the competitions shorter by reducing time on Qualification both in Rifle/Pistol and Shotgun events.

The ESC President Alexander Ratner updated the members of the TC on the situation with the current and future ISSF/ESC matters, while Pekka Kuusisto, the ESC Vice-President gave an overview of the Confederation’s financial situation.

Paul Gumn, member of the ISSF TC, made a presentation of the new formats of the Olympic events approved by the ISSF and the TC discussed the implementation of the new Rules on the ESC level.

Proposals for nominations of the Juries for the 2022/2023 Championships were also in the Agenda of the meeting.
