The year 2017 is on start. Among the main events for the European Shooting Confederation are two European Championships, a Qualification Tournament for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, the ESC General Assembly, the European Youth League, 25m and 300m European Cups. All those tournaments attract a lot of interest. The well-known experienced shooters will have to demonstrate their readiness to defend titles and ranking positions. The younger generation of athletes will try to show ambitions in the beginning of the new Olympic cycle.

The first major competitions will be the European Championship 10m in Maribor, Slovenia, on March 6-12, 2017. The four Finals in Air Pistol/Air Rifle Men and Women individual events as well as two Finals in Mixed Team events will be broadcasted on TV. The access to the EBU signal will be possible with written permission from the ESC. In order to get such permission TV companies which are interested to access the signal must apply to the ESC Secretariat ( and pay the applicable rates for the broadcasting rights on the territory of their country.

Three important events will be organized in Baku, Azerbaijan. The first to begin will be the ESC General Assembly. It will take place on July 21-22, 2017. Immediately after will start the European Championship 25/50/300m/RT/Shotgun and the Continental Qualification for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games. Most of the European Championship's Finals will also be on TV.
