Trap Women Final was full of Olympians!

30 athletes representing 20 nations took part in Qualification. Among 8 participating in Ranking Matches there were 2 athletes from Spain and 2 athletes from Finland.

In the first Ranking Match 2012 Olympic Champion Jessica Rossi (Italy) and Noora Antikainen (Finland) were better than 2020 Olympic Champion Fátima Gálvez Marín (Spain) and Carole Cormenier (France). Jana Špotáková (Slovakia) was on top of the Ranking Match 2 with 22 hits. 2008 Olympic Champion Satu Mäkelä-Nummela (Finland) beat two-time medallist of the 2020 Olympics Alessandra Perilli (San Marino) in a shoot-off. Mar Molné Magriñà didn’t advance further too.

In the Medal Match Antikainen scored 10 hits and took 4th place in the 3rd series. The next was Špotáková who went out of competitions in 5th series having 17 hits and Bronze medal. Rossi who had 4 hits in each of 7 series won the Match and 2024 Paris quota place with 28 hits, Silver went to Mäkelä-Nummela.

Medals were presented by Mrs. Daina Gudzinevičiūtė, EOC Vice-President, 2000 Olympic Champion in Trap event.
