TWO MORE EUROPEAN JUNIORS BECAME WORLD CHAMPIONS IN GRANADA
Vladimir Maslennikov (pictured) from Russia and Jean Quiquampoix from France won gold medals at the 51st ISSF World Championship in Granada at the beginning of the second week of competitions. The young shooter from Russia was the best in 10m Air Pistol Men Junior. The silver medal went to Hrachik Babayan from Armenia, also silver medalist of the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing. Evgeny Panchenko from Russia finished on the third place.
There were three French shooters in the 10m Air Pistol Men Junior Final though none of them won an individual medal. Alexis Raynaud finished on the 4th place, Brian Baudouin- on the 5th and Lorenzo Buffard - on the 7th. But as a Team they set a new World Junior Record and became winners in Team Classification. Russia was third leaving the second place to China.
There were only two Europeans in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men Junior Final but they finished on top of their rivals. Jean Quiquampoix became the winner of this event, Aleksandr Marchev from Russia got the silver medal. The Russian trio managed to win the third place in Team Classification, while the first two went to China and Korea.

In Skeet Women Junior Katrin Wieslhuber from Germany took part in the Gold Medal Match and won the silver losing only one hit to Diana Jo Vizzi from the USA. Barbara Sumova from the Czech Republic beat Anastasiia Koira from Ukraine in the Bronze Medal Match. The Czech Republic was second in Team Classification after the USA but on top of China.
The only Olympic event disputed on Monday was Skeet Women. Elena Allen from Great Britain lost one hit to Brandy Drozd from the USA in the Gold Medal Match and won the silver medal. The bronze medal went to Danka Bartekova from Slovakia. Albina Shakirova from Russia finished on the 4th place, Andri Eleftheriou from Cyprus - on the 6th. Besides medals, Drozd, Allen and Bartekova acquired Quota Places for the Games of the XXXI Olympiad in Rio-de-Janeiro.
