Zalán Pekler from Hungary won his third Gold here in Wrocław and a 2024 Paris quota place
8 best athletes out of Qualification stage representing 7 nations (Czechia, Hungary, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Italy, and Croatia) took part in the Final of the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men event.
Simon Weithaler from Italy and Petar Gorša from Croatia, who won Silver in a Air Rifle Team Men event yesterday, were the first to eliminate in the 6th series. In the end four athletes were competing for medals: Zalán Pekler, Simon Kolstad Claussen from Norway, Alexander Schmirl from Austria, and Jiří Přívratský from Czechia.
In the Gold Medal Match Pekler was more precise than Přívratský, who has been supported by a group of fans including four children, winning by 16:10. Alexander Schmirl, who won Bronze in a Air Rifle Team Men event yesterday, repeated the same result today as well.
