Amazing end of the day!

The 50m Rifle 3 Positions Trio Women Junior Final became, perhaps, if not the most exciting, then one of those at this Championships here in Osijek.

Team Norway represented by Pernille Nor-Woll, Caroline Finnestad Lund, and Martine Sve beat Team Switzerland represented by Ekaterina Chenikova, Anouk Noemi Fässler, and Alexia Tela with 16-6 and took Bronze medals – easy victory.

The real thriller began in the Gold Medal Match, although nothing foreshadowed this. Germans Hannah Wehren, Nele Stark, and Anna Marie Beutler took the lead from the very beginning and, it would seem, left their Serbian colleagues (Aleksandra Havran, Anja Knežević, and Emilija Ponjavić) no chance. During the match German girls were always ahead, and by a large margin, e.g. 10-4. Towards the end the score became 14-6. It would seem that this is the end. But it was not there! Serbian coach took a timeout, and a miracle happened. The Serbs began to win shot after shot and eventually won with a score of 16-14! This is simply incredible!
