Day 4 at EYOF Shooting: New Nations Celebrate First Medals and Final Quota Claimed

The fourth day of the shooting competition at EYOF 2025 in Skopje brought emotional victories, national firsts, and the final direct quota place for the 2027 European Games in Istanbul.

In the 10m Air Rifle Solo Men, Tomo Tadić delivered a remarkable performance to win the gold medal, bringing Croatia’s first-ever medal in EYOF shooting and securing a quota place for the upcoming European Games.

The silver medal went to Amir Memišević, earning Bosnia and Herzegovina’s first medal in the competition. The bronze was claimed by Konstantinos Solos, also bringing home Greece’s first shooting medal at EYOF 2025.

Today’s event was honored by the presence of Isidoros Kouvelos, President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, who met with ESC President Alexander Ratner and expressed his gratitude for the excellent organization of the Festival and the high standard of the shooting competitions.

In the 10m Air Rifle Solo Women, Theresa Luise Schnell stood at the top of the podium, securing the first shooting medal for Germany at this EYOF.

Anete Tukiša earned the silver, celebrating Latvia’s first medal in shooting at the event.

The bronze medal, along with the final quota place for the 2027 European Games, went to Elif Berfin Altun. With her earlier gold in the Individual and today’s bronze in Solo, Altun had the best combined result and earned a valuable spot for the host country.

During the Quota Place Award Ceremony, Elif shared her thoughts on the competition format: “I really enjoy the Solo format — it’s exciting and different. You must fight till the end, and even when the difference is around 4–5 hits, you never know what will happen in the next shot. So, I like it.”

As the EYOF Shooting events approach their final day, they continue to highlight the talent, passion, and promise of the next generation of European athletes.
