Day of Golden last shots

Most of today’s Finals were extremely strained.

In 25m Pistol Team Women event Germans Doreen Vennekamp, Michelle Skeries, and Monika Karsch won over Olena Kostevych, Anastasiia Nimets, and Oksana Kovalchuk from Ukraine with 16-14. Hosts Joanna Iwona Wawrzonowska, Julita Borek, and Klaudia Breś beat Miroslava Mincheva, Antoaneta Kostadinova, and Irena Tanova from Bulgaria.

In 50m Pistol Open event the best became ageless João Costa from Portugal who beat Latvian Lauris Strautmanis with the difference of just 1 point! Damir Mikec from Serbia took the 3rd place.

In 50m Rifle 3 Positions Mixed Team event both Norwegian teams (Jeanette Hegg Duestad + Jon-Hermann Hegg and Jenny Stene + Simon Claussen) celebrated Golden and Silver victory. And the difference was 2 points again! Bronze took Stephanie Laura Scurrah Grundsøe and Steffen Olsen from Denmark.

And, finally, in 50m Rifle Prone Mixed Team event Sheileen Waibel and Thomas Mathis from Austria became Gold medalists by winning over Jenny Stene and Henrik Larsen from Norway. Chiara Leone and Jan Lochbihler representing Switzerland took Bronze.

Athletes had to demonstrate power of their nerves of steel. Congratulations!
