ESC Coaching Courses: the new generation in action

August 2025 at the ESC was dedicated to the professional training of a new generation of coaches in sport shooting. The Level 1 course program has come to an end, graduating 41 specialists who are now ready to develop the sport.

These were not just courses, but a real upgrade of skills from top tutors. Malcolm Allen (ISSF A license) from Great Britain shared his expertise in shotgun in Tallinn, Estonia. In Budapest, Hungary, the rifle and pistol courses were led by Anne Grethe Stenvaag Jeppesen (ISSF Coach Pro) from Norway and Jelena Arunović (ISSF Coach Pro) from Serbia. They showed how to combine theory with practice to prepare true professionals.

Anne Grethe Stenvaag Jeppesen, Rifle Tutor: "For me, this course is more than just education. For the second year in a row, we have created a space where coaches from different countries share experiences and open new horizons. We discussed everything: from shooting technique and shot process to coaching and planning, and we also practiced exercises together with young athletes. The atmosphere of trust, discussions, and joint problem-solving made these days truly productive. The most valuable outcome is the skills and confidence that we take away from here".

The participants were satisfied with the quality of the training and organization. The knowledge they gained is their ticket to a future where they will train future champions. Their impressions of the intensive were shared by a course participant from Poland Bartosz Czerniawski: “Sharing ideas, structuring them, and comparing ideas on shooting, both holistically and in detail, will help develop shooting in individual countries and, consequently, raise the level of competition in Europe. The most interesting part was building the structure of the training during specific training periods. Being in a group with such a great athlete as Ruslan Lunev, an experienced coach like Jelena Arunović, and a seasoned coach like Manojlović allowed for the exchange of coaching ideas. I will use the new information I've gained to enhance training tasks in individual work with athletes”.

For those who want to grow further, the ESC is already preparing Level 2 courses, which will start in 2026. Detailed information will be available on the website and in social networks. Follow the updates to not miss out and secure your place among the course participants.

We congratulate all graduates' coaches on this important step and thank our tutors for investing their knowledge and energy. We are confident that with such personnel, the future of sport shooting in Europe is in good hands!
