European Championship 2026: All stars align in Yerevan
The wait is over! The best of the best have gathered in hospitable Armenia. For the first time in history, this ancient and beautiful country is hosting the European Shooting Championship 10m.
From today, the heart of Yerevan beats to a truly international rhythm! The city has become a hub for 40 national federations and more than 350 athletes, all ready to showcase precision and focus.
Located high above the historic streets of Yerevan with amazing views of Mount Ararat, the championship is taking place in the Karen Demirchyan Complex. For one week, this venue will be the center of European shooting sport.
The energy of the successful championships in Bulgaria, led by ESC Vice President, President of the Bulgarian Shooting Federation Vesela Letcheva just a few weeks ago, was symbolically handed over tonight in a fantastic Opening Ceremony. In a moment of pure sporting brotherhood, the ESC flag was passed from the hands of the Bulgarian athlete Tea Ilieva to the President of the Armenian Shooting Federation. The relay of success continues!
The ceremony was honored by the presence of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan.

Addressing the athletes from the stage, ESC President Alexander Ratner shared a powerful and warm message. He wished all competitors that these days in Yerevan bring not only great victories but also unforgettable emotions and the warmth of the hospitable Armenian land.
We invite everyone to watch the Opening Ceremony here.
Dear athletes, may luck be with every one of you. Let’s make this Сhampionship unforgettable!
