It was the longest match for today
For the very first time it was necessary to conclude a Mixed Team round at the European Champions League here in Budapest.
In this Semifinal Team Norway competed against Team Germany. It took almost two hours to complete the match!
In the first Duel Jon-Hermann Hegg beat Maximilian Ulbrich with 16-10. In the second Duel German Anna Janssen beat Jeanette Duestad and regained the balance in a stubborn struggle. The third Duel was again for Germans: Maximilian Dallinger was better than Henrik Larsen with 16-12. The outcome of the fourth Duel was the same like in the second: Norwegian Jenny Stene defeated Lisa Müller with 16-12, and the overall match score became 2-2.
And then came the most interesting moment of the match: Mixed Team Duel.
It was really exciting and really fast: Germans won over Norwegians with 16-4!
So tomorrow Teams Hungary and Germany will meet in a Gold Medal Match, Teams Italy and Norway – in a Bronze Medal Match.
Congratulations!
