Jeanette Hegg Duestad won the drama

Many could have bet that Seonaid Mcintosh could be the Champion, other perhaps trusted in Norwegians in Air Rifle Women, some were ready bet so called “black horse”. There were also two Quotas to Paris for the two best ones, which must have arisen the excitement.

Well, finally it happened so that Norwegian Jeanettte Hegg Duestad and Seonaid Mcintosh met in the Gold Match. Before that had happened a lot and I must point out a Finn, Emmi Hyrkas, rookie who was really near to win bronze but was finally fourth behind Anna Janssen (GER).

The Gold match was someway surprising. Norwegian Duestad made a perfect start – 10.9 and took the lead. Mcintosh answered with 10.8 hit in the next shot. When the match went to situation 8-8, something happened Mcintosh made 10.6, but Duestad 10.7 and this hit someway broke Mcintosh and Duestad received the flow. Duestad had mad made three times 10.7 in a row! One tie 10.1 for both, but the Duestad ruled the Gold Match: 10.8 – 10.7 and 10.7. Final match point 16-10 for Duestad!
