Maestro Bernhard and state of mind

The German shooting machine continues its invasion to the World of Gold medals.

The Seniors part of the Győr Championships has been opened today with the Air Rifle Mixed Team Final with participation of teams Sweden/Italy (Bronze medal match) and France/Germany (Gold medal match).

As we have become accustomed to, the Announcer Phillip Bernhard guided the audience and explained to them how to support their athletes properly.

It all started yesterday, i.e. here we see not a competition in accuracy, but in an opportunity to relax and completely clear your mind of worries. And the one who manages to do this will win. And what happened in these two matches is a perfect example of this.

It would seem that victory is already in pockets of Swedish Isabelle Johansson and Marcus Madsen when the score was 14-6 in their favor. But it was far from it! Italians Sofia Ceccarello and Danilo Dennis Sollazzo woke up and began to catch up with their rivals. They managed to hit 3 shots in a row and to make the score 14-12! But Johansson and Madsen insisted on their own and won the match with 16-12.

An almost similar situation – with a slight adjustment to the intermediate score – arose in the Gold medal match between Germany (Anna Janssen/Maximilian Ulbrich) and France (Océanne Muller/Lucas Bernard Denis Kryzs). Janssen and Ulbrich became European Champions with the same score: 16-12, and that wasn’t easy either.

C for Calmness – don’t forget it!
