One more Nissinenes' court fail
After losing the ESC Presidential Election in October last year, Ms. Nissinen began publicly spreading the statements containing false and defamatory allegations about the ESC, election campaigns and its results which were clear and stand.
In response, Mr. Alexander Ratner, President of the European Shooting Confederation, filed a legal claim to protect his honour, dignity and reputation of the Confederation and decision of its members.
On December 29, 2025 the Frankfurt am Main Regional Court issued an injunction prohibiting Ms. Nissinen “to assert/or disseminate and/or allow disseminated” the following statements:
1. “Information about my campaign has been completely blocked.”
2. “This was not a free election – it was orchestrated by a single financier and a single candidate.”
3. “Russian oligarch Vladimir Lisin allegedly pledged 200,000 Euro per federation in exchange for electoral support, exerting undue financial influence on the vote.”
4. “Candidates were reportedly subjected to intimidation, harassment and discriminatory treatment throughout the electoral process.”
In each case of contravention Ms. Nissinen will have to pay a penalty determined by the Court of up to 250,000 Euro.
This decision confirms that false and defamatory statements cannot be irresponsibly used to question the results of democratic elections and that such actions have legal consequences. The Court’s measures are aimed at preventing further violations and ensuring respect for truth, fairness and personal rights pending a decision on the merits.
The decision of the Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main dated 29 December 2025 can be found here.
In 2024 Mr. Nissinen, President of the Finnish Shooting Sport Federation, and husband of Ms Nissinen as well as Mr. Rossi, the ISSF President, were already subject to decisions of the Court in cases related to other previous statements in relation to Mr. Ratner. The defendants were banned from making such claims, were required to publicly refute their false allegations about Mr. Ratner.
