Second Day of the EYOF Shooting Competition: Thrilling Performances and Medal Wins

The second day of the European Youth Olympic Festival shooting competition showcased remarkable performances and fierce battles for the medals.

In the 10m Air Pistol Women’s Individual, the Gold medal was claimed by Ezginur Turkmen from Turkey, while Alina Nestsiarovich of the Belarus Olympic Committee secured the Silver. The Bronze was taken by Gloria Sánchez from Spain.

In the 10m Air Pistol Men’s Individual, Climentii Ursu from Moldova emerged as the winner, with Uros Gajić from Serbia taking the Silver. Loris Quarta from Italy earned the Bronze.

The day also witnessed an exciting contest in the Air Rifle Duet event. In the Bronze medal match, Team Italy Agnese Formieri and Alessandro Lonardi, fought a fierce battle but ultimately lost to Team Switzerland’s Emely Jaggi and Dorian Saillen, who claimed the Bronze.

In the Gold medal match, Team Serbia Anastasija Zivkovic and Stefan Agovic, triumphed over Team Slovenia’s Lana Kuznik and Maksimilijan Zaric, securing the Gold, while the Slovenian duo earned the Silver.

Today, the venue was attended by Presidents and Vice-Presidents of national shooting federations from the Balkans, including Kosovo, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia. The leaders praised the excellent organization of the event and extended congratulations to the Macedonian Shooting Federation and the European Shooting Confederation for the successful competition.

The leaders also emphasized the importance of this festival for the development of shooting sports among young athletes. They highlighted how such competitions play a crucial role in nurturing the next generation of shooters, providing them with an invaluable platform to grow, compete, and thrive in the sport.
