Setting the Stage for Shooting at EYOF
Earlier today, the technical meeting for the shooting sport took place, confirming that everything is in place for the smooth start of the shooting competitions at EYOF.
However, what truly stands out is the impressive number of 37 participating countries — a clear testament to the European Shooting Confederation's commitment to prioritizing youth development. This success reflects the strong collaboration with member federations, as participants for the European Youth Olympic Festival were selected by their National Olympic Committees, with shooters competing against athletes from 14 other sports for a spot in the delegation.
President Alexander Ratner shared his thoughts on the significance of this milestone: "The debut of shooting at EYOF is a significant step forward for our sport. It provides a platform for youth athletes to showcase their talent and grow in their discipline. The participation of 37 nations and 112 athletes speaks volumes about the effectiveness of our focus on youth development".
Special mention goes to the Macedonian Shooting Sport Federation, led by President Jordan Tasevski, for their outstanding contributions to the success of this event and the involvement of their athletes.
The shooting competitions will be streamed live, allowing fans to follow all the action in real-time. Below is the streaming schedule for the upcoming events:
