Shots were accompanied by the glitter of Olympic medals

As many as three Olympic medal winners took part in the Men's Trap Final.

2012 Olympic Champion representing host nation Giovanni Cernogoraz, Clément Bourgue and Sébastien Guerrero (both from France), and Italians Massimo Fabbrizi, Mauro De Filippis, and Giovanni Pellielo participated in the event.

Massimo Fabbrizi is 2012 Olympic Silver medalist. As for Giovanni Pellielo, he’s got 2000 Olympic Games Bronze medal and three Silvers of 2004, 2008, and 2016 Olympics. Among other things, he is a knight of Ordine al merito della Repubblica Italiana – the most senior Italian order of merit! That’s really impressive!

Clément Bourgue was first to leave the range. He was followed by Pellielo and Fabbrizi. Again – like in Women’s match – the top 3 positions remained the same: De Filippis, Cernogoraz, Guerrero.

Guerrero took Bronze medal and Olympic quota. De Filippis, Cernogoraz were left on the field of play alone having 38 hits each.

As usually happens in such situations, a battle of nerves began. Both athletes shot the 9th round perfectly and came to the 10th having 43 clays each. In the middle of the round Cernogoraz had several “No targets”. The audience was nervous too. Finally De Filippis missed one target, and Cernogoraz took Gold with 48-47.

What started here! People rushed to hug him, took him in their arms and made a circle of honor around the range!

Thanks to everyone for great emotions!
