Stene wins the Gold, Kochańska - a quota to Paris.
Shooting continued today with 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women event.
After Qualification 8 best athletes from 7 nations took part in Ranking Match. Three athletes reached the fight for medals: Natalia Kochańska from Poland, Jenny Stene from Norway, and Seonaid McIntosh from Great Britain who took Bronze medal..
In the Gold Medal Match it was duel between Kochańska, who was extremely supported by the audience, and Stene. Both shot unsteady and showed results which differed sometimes for more than one point! But starting from 13th series, Stene won shot by shot and got the Gold medal in 15th series with 17:13. Kochańska got Silver and quota to the Paris Olympics.
Medals were presented by the European Olympic Committees Executive Board Member, Mrs. Uschi Schmitz.
