The 2025 Lapua European Cup ended with a thrilling Final in Sofia, Bulgaria
The beautiful 25m range, expertly hosted by the Bulgarian Shooting Union, welcomed 35 elite athletes from ten nations who clashed for the prestigious title of 25m Lapua European Cup Champion.
Saturday featured the intense Centre Fire Pistol event, and it was a true display of precision under pressure. After a fierce "battle" that captivated spectators, the final results came down to the slimmest of margins!
Emils Vasermanis from Latvia secured the gold medal, posting 577 points and 24 inner tens. Second place went to Lauris Strautmanis, also from Latvia, with the same score but one inner ten less. Third place was taken by Yann Fridrici from France, also with the same score, but the lowest number of inner tens.
The competition was absolutely electrifying; the medalists weren't decided until the very last shot was fired!
We extend our huge congratulations to all the medalists and look forward to welcoming all athletes to the 2026 Lapua European Cup next season!
