The day of Legends!

The atmosphere of long-awaited meetings between friends and teammates! A day when legendary athletes meet again at the field of play and share the podium once more! What could be better than a beautiful sporting friendship?

In the Men’s Pistol final, we saw a battle among the top eight, featuring athletes from the AIN team, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Serbia, Greece, and Finland. It was a high-stakes final where the audience celebrated every single shot with thunderous applause. The well-deserved gold went to Anton Aristarkhov from the AIN team, the silver was taken by German athlete Robin Walter, and the bronze went to Jason Solari from Switzerland.

In the team event the athletes from Italy climbed to the top of the podium to take gold. The Turkish team earned the silver, and the Serbian athletes secured the bronze medal.

It was especially moving to see long-time best friends since the Tokyo Olympics – Yusuf Dikec and Damir Mikec – stepping onto the podium together with their respective trios.

In the Women’s Pistol, an incredibly emotional final brought together sporting friends and multiple-time champions. The silver medal was won by Slovenian athlete Manja Slak. The bronze went to Antoaneta Kostadinova from Bulgaria, who was the first to run and hug Veronika Major from Hungary, congratulating her friend on winning the gold.

In the Rifle Mixed Team final, the famous Norwegian duo Jeanette Hegg Duestad and Jon-Hermann Hegg took to the targets, facing off against German rifle stars Anna Janssen and Maximilian Ulbrich. In the end, the Germans conceded victory to the Norwegians, while the Swedish duo of Amanda Josefine Karlsson and Victor Lindgren took the bronze.

Special attention should be paid to the Moving Target discipline, the results of which were also announced yesterday. It was a true triumph for the Armenian athletes – they climbed the podium 6 times! They say there's no place like home, and it’s certainly true here. Congratulations to the Armenian athletes for leading the overall medal standings at the moment!
