The race for the ESC Athletes’ Committee is over

The new ESC Athletes Committee is fixed. 164 athletes participated in voting determining those who will represent their interests in the European governing bodies.

Here they are:
Panagiota Charalampous (СYP), Pistol
Riccardo Armiraglio (ITA), Rifle
Laura Georgeta Ilie (ROU), Rifle
David Kostelecký (CZE), Shotgun
Silvana Maria Stanco (ITA), Shotgun

David Kostelecký, trap shooting athlete, Olympic gold (2008) and silver (2020) medalist and European champion, being reelected in the Committee commented: “I am very happy and grateful that i got the chance to continue in AC of ESC and will do my best to support our sport and athletes. Thank you to ESC for this chance and good cooperation and thanks to all athletes for the votes”.

The elections were held during the European Championship, which has just ended in Châteauroux, France, where the Olympic shooting competitions in 2024 took place.

Mr. Ratner, the ESC President, said: "The ESC always grants not only the stable development of the shooting sport but the chance to express opinions openly including participation in decision making through voting. New names, fresh ideas, respect for achievements and experience are our basics. I am looking forward to cooperating with the new Athletes’ Committee. We need this team to realize many projects”.
